DJ and Kay: Engaged

By gi, July 18, 2009 4:52 pm

It was a typical hot and humid summer day in Southern California. Beaches are packed, parks filled with picnickers, swimsuits and board shorts — a common sight. Despite the crowds and the sweltering heat, the couple happily walked the shores of Laguna with only one thing in mind: a lifetime together.

We would like to extend our congratulations to DJ and Kay for their recent engagement and upcoming wedding! It was such a pleasure working with you during this photoshoot. We definitely had tons of fun rolling on the sand, climbing rocks, laying on pavements, and standing/sitting on unstable grounds with both of you!

They say that the first one is the hardest and the most memorable. We definitely agree. Dj and Kay’s wedding is our first official wedding event coverage and thus will be very special to the two of us as well. Thank you guys for believing in us and letting us capture and document the day you say your I do’s! We love you, guys! :)

* Special thanks to Ryan and Niegel who were also there to help and guide us throughout the shoot!

There is no better way to end this post other than to offer all of you the opportunity to get a sneak peak of how much all of us worked that day! This video was produced by Kay’s Brother, Kuya Rai.  Thanks Rai for allowing us to post your work here.  Here is the Behind the Scenes video! :)

The Klein Family

By gi, June 17, 2009 12:12 pm

Two weeks ago, Ceejay and I had the pleasure of photographing the Klein family with their uber super cute 9-month old baby, Joaquin. By far, Joaquin is the easiest baby we have photographed! He did not cry during the photoshoot, not even for one second! It was fun and very fulfilling for both of us to see such a small, yet bonded family who adored one another so much!

–Enough of the !! –

It was definitely an honor to capture this family’s love for one another. Ceejay and I had so much fun during the shoot and we definitely learned much more about the Klein family. We even got a few tips on parenting (ughh sorry, not anytime soon for us)! –> sorry about the !

AND, just to add more excitement to the day, we illegally parked in a nearby lot! Glad we didn’t get a ticket, not sure if we’ll ever do it again. Anyway, without further ado, here is the Klein family :)

We will end this post with the couples favorite photo of Joaquin
We will end this post with the couple’s favorite photo of Joaquin

Again, thank you so so much Maria and Bill for giving us the opportunity to photography your family. We can’t wait until Joaquin can walk and run! We’d love to chase him around!

Memorial Weekend – Pacific Coast Trip

Hello, folks! Gi and I just came back from a short but nice road trip along the Pacific Coast. And boy was it quite a fun trip!

A few months ago, some coworkers of mine suggested that we go on a trip up the Pacific Coast Highway and take photos of California’s coast. They told me that if we wanted to do some Landscape Photography, we would definitely enjoy the drive. Their words were so underrated.

So Memorial Weekend comes, and we packed our bags and decided to go up to Monterey, CA. Our itenerary consisted of visits to Pebble Beach, Point Pinos Lighthouse, the 17-Mile drive, Big Sur and Hearst Castle.

Overall, I think this is by far, our best Photo Trip ever. Although the sun almost never showed itself to us and it was a bit chilly, we had a lot of fun and accomplished a lot in 2 1/2 days.

California’s coasts are definitely one of nature’s wonders. It just amazes me as to all the different things you will come across; Breath-taking views, different kinds of wildlife, and beautiful beaches.

It’s amazing to know that all these are just a few hours away from all the busy-ness, and craziness of our urban lives. This for sure I know, we will definitely be back!

Below are Some of my favorites; The entire album can be viewed here: California Pacific Coast Trip

CeejayandGi.com is now Online!

By ceejay, April 28, 2009 7:48 am

Good Morning!

We finally came up with the first version of CeejayandGi.com… There’s still a lot to be done but mostly minor. What we do need to have are more pictures. We need more images for our portolio to show on the site. We have a few shoots lined up within the next couple of weeks and hopefully those turn out good.

Honestly, I think we are nowhere near what Professionals who’ve been in the business for years can produce, but with every shoot, I believe we are learning and improving significantly.

Eventually, we want to be able to cover weddings and for me, that would be the ultimate test of artistry and style. For now, we will continue to build on our Portfolio and hopefully pickup a few referrals and projects along the way.

To all you reading this, Please let us know if you or anyone you know are looking for Startup Photographers to cover your special event. I guarantee you that you will be amazed as to how good our images are for the Price that you pay. It’s a win-win situation. Send us an email at info@ceejayandgi.com for more information. Thanks!

Ceejay and Gi are set to conquer Cyber space

By admin, April 10, 2009 5:23 pm

Ok, maybe not just yet. I finally got the site activated. I’ve been browsing through the net trying to find a simple template for our photo Blogging needs. We also need to come up with a simple yet professional look for the site. One thing’s for sure, I’m going to be heavily using Flash on this site.

I haven’t developed a website in years… and now that I’ve gone back, it looks like a lot has definitely changed. Everything is so idiot proof now. You have software that creates templates and animations with very little difficulty whereas a few years back, I spent countless hours just trying to produce a simple web site.

Wow, I just love the wonders of technology.

Hopefully, I have enough time to work on this project before I go back to studying for my next CCNP exam.

Oh well, see you in a few…
